Improvements and new features
-
Dispatch Assignment page now performs predictive analysis of the dispatch schedule, in order to show which shifts are expected to be available to run the selected dispatch. As before, unticking the ☑ Hide shifts that are fully loaded checkbox will allow a dispatch to be assigned to a shift that AngelTrack believes will be busy during the expected time period. The Dispatch Assignment page now looks like this.
-
Dispatch Assignment page now checks to see which shifts have enough time left on duty to completely run the selected dispatch. (You'll recall that a dispatcher setting up a new shift must specify the expected number of hours that the crew will be on duty.) Concomitantly, there is a new checkbox ☑ Hide shifts that are scheduled to end before this call finishes that can be unticked in order to override this check, and allow the dispatch to be assigned to a shift in spite of their expected end time. Remember, you can change the default number of hours on duty for new shifts, using the Preferences page under Settings.
-
New built-in certificate types for crew members:
-
Infection Control Officer Training for use e.g. TX Law SB 1574 which requires a certified "Infection Control Officer" in every EMS company's roster.
-
Administrator of Record [AOR] for use in states which require a certified EMS administrator in every EMS company's roster.
-
The calculation of crews qualified to accept a dispatch now considers the issuing state of the crews' certificates against the state in which the pickup occurs, so as to ignore out-of-state certificates that crew members may have recorded for themselves. (Previously, crews were instructed to not record out-of-state certificates that do not impact their activities.)
-
Lieutenants and Captains who are not crew members will now appear on the Live Map whenever their GPS position is known.
-
The online help for certificate tracking is rewritten, with a special section explaining how City certificates work. City certificates help your dispatchers remember which vehicles have which city stickers on them, so as to avoid local citations for unlicensed patient pickups. It is a slick automatic system that you should use if your dispatchers are burdened with city sticker concerns.
-
In the vehicle maintenance logs, the annual inspection event is now standardized. The event is collected for the vehicle as a whole and also -- separately -- for the vehicle's power lift or ramp (if any). AngelTrack does this because those two annual inspections are usually done at different times by different people. Both annual inspection due dates are now displayed in the Fleet Status report.
-
To assist coders who must meet specific requirements in a carrier's 837P Companion Guide, the "Insurance policy type" field's choices now include the respective 837P SBR09 codes, in brackets, like this: "Commercial insurance [CI]"
-
New report Crew Immunizations Expiring, available under HR home.
-
Online help added for the immunization-tracking system.
-
New Preferences setting allows you to select the alternate CMS-1500 form, which contains no red background fields. This form is used when your .PDF reader and/or printer driver fail to omit the red background fields when printing.
-
Crew members can now issue and change their own Beacon app tokens, using their Employee Self-Edit page.
Significant bugfixes
-
When the insurance policy type is set to "Champus" or "Veterans Affairs", the CMS-1500 generator ticked the ☑ OTHER checkbox, rather than the correct ☑ CHAMPVA checkbox in box 1.
-
When performing a large export from any of the billing queues, the queue's automatic refresh will interrupt the assembly of the export. Automatic refresh will now pause while an export is being assembled for download.
