Improvements and new features

  1. AngelTrack now tracks and manages all aspects of a new prior auth document type: "State Medicaid Prior Authorization", or "McPAN" for short. This is for use in states which are beginning to demand a PCS-like certification form for all Medicaid-backed transports -- even when Medicaid is secondary. To learn more, read the McPAN help document.
  2. Payment Event Finder can now search by the insurance payor ID, when the counterparty is insurance
  3. Import an EDI Document now tolerates defective patient name correction loops (NM1:74) returned by carriers, which were previously blanking out the names in patient records.
  4. If an emergent or critical call has specific pickup and dropoff times (for the purpose of recording the ETA given by dispatch), these times will no longer be displayed to crews, in order to avoid the problem of crews mistakenly assuming that they can take their time enroute to an emergent call.
  5. While Coding, there is now an option under "Set the codes manually" to claim two pickup charges, rather than the usual one pickup charge. This is for use in dealing with carriers who demand a two-charge claim for certain unusual services such as intercepts and EMS-to-EMS transfers. If you do elect to claim two pickup charges, and if there is a return-trip attached, AngelTrack will offer you the option to automatically mark the return-trip as non-billable, so that the outbound trip will collect all benefits.
  6. New report for CA customers "CA Emergent Revenue by Quarter" is now available in City and State Reports under Supervisor Home.
  7. AngelTrack now tolerates bad X12.835 EOBs being returned by some (and probably all) MACs. Specifically, the last few lines of an X12.835 EOB should read like this:
    [...]
    REF*6R*AM13834N1
    AMT*B6*90.92
    SE*1330*0001
    GE*1*1
    IEA*1*000000001
...but MACs are returning this instead:
    [...]
    REF*6R*AM13834N1
    AMT*B6*90.92SE*1330*0001
    GE*1*1
    IEA*1*000000001
In other words, the SE segment is no longer correctly delimited from the preceding AMT segment. This caused AngelTrack to fail to parse the monetary amount in the AMT segment, which is a critical monetary amount because it tells how much the carrier has approved.

Significant bugfixes

  1. Crew members were unable to delete/undelete certain documents that they had previously uploaded in the PCR Documents page.
  2. Notification messages sent to vehicles (not to crew members) were showing the correct patient name in one place, but the wrong one in another.
  3. The Scramble Time by City and Scramble Time by County reports, located under City and State Reports, failed to return any data in the upper charts.
